Department: 10923 Enterprise Corporate - Ambulatory Quality Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 1st shift, Monday - Friday Remote role, with the ability to be onsite for meetings w/ your stakeholders. The expectation would be approximately once a month depending on needs. Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 You will lead the implementation of quality improvement initiatives for assigned ambulatory primary care practices/clinics. Apply project management, quality, and safety improvement frameworks, methodologies, and tools, evidence-based and/or best practice, and statistical theory and tools for data analysis. Guide achievement of Advocates strategic imperative of top decile performance in quality, safety, service, and cost-effective patient care while demonstrating compliance with regulatory agencies. Major Responsibilities: Expertly leads performance improvement efforts and coaches others in the development of performance improvement capabilities with emphasis on process redesign and measurement; provides direction to assigned departments and customers within the organization in the planning of a systematic, organization-wide approach to continuous quality improvement. Applies a professional and calm style in challenging circumstances. Plans and leads moderately complex interdisciplinary projects, ensuring on-time delivery with high quality and coordination of resources. Collaboratively coordinates, facilitates, implements, and participates in quality improvement and value initiatives such as optimizing utilization in assigned ambulatory geographical areas. Participates in multidisciplinary quality improvement and value-based care teams and projects to support the accomplishment of quality improvement initiatives, value contract execution, and accreditation goals. Applies Advocate’s quality and high reliability improvement frameworks, methodologies, and tools, evidence-based practice, and data analysis to achieve optimal outcomes. Uses statistical techniques and tools to analyze and display clinical data. Assists in the development and enhancement of tools for accurate data collection and quality improvement initiatives. Reviews and analyzes quality data for accuracy, patterns, and trends. Participates in the development of improved Electronic Health Record tools to support Quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with key functional departments and leadership. Conducts chart reviews, audits, surveys, and uses other data collection methodologies as indicated. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to guide problem solving and identify innovative solutions. Utilizes facilitation skills, data analysis and statistical process control to effect improvement in quality, value, and clinical outcomes. Maintains awareness of emerging conflicts and potential risk situations and uses effective techniques to ameliorate or escalates to appropriate leadership for resolution. Leads department and performance improvement meetings, analyzes trends of performance metrics/business unit level dashboards, identifies opportunities for improvement, develops and maintains management action plans, measures success of these action plans and creates the records and follow-up metrics for each meeting and activity; reassesses approach to maximize success. Meets individually with clinicians and their teams to assist with problem-solving, recommend and facilitate improvement strategies. Participates in the development of content for communication tailored to diverse audiences. Promotes cross-departmental communication, collaboration, and performance improvement. Ensures all key stakeholders receive consistent communication across departments and sites. Communicates findings and analysis of record reviews, audits, surveys, and other data to process owners and stakeholders. Researches and recommends best practice strategies to improve processes and quality outcomes and goals. Serves as a resource to leadership and clinicians for identifying and developing innovative programs/services to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency of operational workflows. Participates in the development and maintenance of educational material. Provides training/educational programs and in-services to a wide range of audience, including but not limited to large group physician meetings, office staff meetings, and on-site practice meetings, which can include clinical and non-clinical members. Serves as a resource and mentor to colleagues with less experience. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Certificate* in health care quality, patient safety or project management/Lean preferred and is required within 2 years of employment. *Or equivalent internal program Education Required: ​​ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience Experience Required: Requires 3 years' experience cumulatively in health care, clinical quality improvement, project management, or a directly related fields. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, tools, and measures. Independent effective resolution of complex problems. Project Management methodology and tools. Statistical techniques to support analysis and interpretation of data. Ability to create reports, graphs, and other visual presentation materials, and effectively maintain statistical data. Analyze complex data, make inferences, and validate conclusions. Team and meeting facilitation techniques and tools. Evidence based, best practice resources. Ability to research and critique strength of evidence based and best practice recommendations. Knowledge of health technology, health insurance guidelines and regulatory standards, as they relate to the physician practice setting Ability to travel to different practices within the market area Preferred : Experience using Epic or other EMR system Ability to shift between priorities Direct experience within ambulatory in a hospital or medical practice. Strong process improvement experience Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally, in person, and in writing with peers, leadership across varied departments and health care teams. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Exposed to normal office environment.
