Position Summary Are you interested in a dynamic summer internship experience with a cybersecurity professional services company? Coalfire is looking for Summer 2027 interns to support our Compliance Advisory team. Most of our interns work remotely, however, depending on your preference and location in proximity to one of our offices, this role can be a remote or hybrid position. Our intern program is 10-weeks in length, going from end of May to August. It is a PAID internship program! We are targeting students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. What You’ll Do Gain exposure to the client-facing portion of the security assessment process by participating in control testing interviews for client engagements and assisting the Coalfire team with information/artifact gathering. Contribute to advisory deliverables by analyzing security control artifacts against compliance standards, and then applying technical writing skills to document the results of this analysis clearly and effectively. Gain a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity essentials with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), and the application of security frameworks. Achieve an understanding of security frameworks such as FedRAMP, ISO, SOC, and HIPAA/HITRUST, focusing on their structure, control requirements, and scoring methodology. Contribute to developing recommendations for improving compliance processes and controls.
