Is this job info correct?
Welcome to ENGIE Laborelec! Every day, we work together to develop efficient energy solutions to build a carbon-neutral future!

Are you analytical and eager to solve technical challenges?

As a Vibrations Project Engineer at Laborelec in Linkebeek (Brussels area), you’ll play a key role in monitoring and analyzing vibrations in major power plants. Most of your work is data-driven, focused on analysis, reporting, and regular client contact—mainly remote, with occasional on-site visits.

About The Team

Our dynamic international team of mechanical and vibrations engineers is renowned for its exceptional problem-solving skills in both the power energy sector and general industry. We excel in tackling complex challenges and are entrusted with the online monitoring of over 100 turbine shaft lines worldwide. Whenever issues arise, we are the go-to experts for on-site dedicated measurements.

At Laborelec, we collaborate closely with the Materials, Non-destructive Testing, and Electrical expert teams to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities As Vibrations Project Engineer (F/M/X)

To enhance our activities in identifying root causes of problems and conducting design assessments, we are seeking a Vibrations Project Engineer eager to develop his/her career in Condition Monitoring and Vibrations Analysis.

In this role, you will monitor the vibration behaviour of turbo generator shaft lines and engage in complex root cause analysis of rotating machinery. Additionally, you will advise our customers on the best condition monitoring strategies for their specific assets.

You will be part of a supportive team and have access to professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career.

Your Mission:

  • Conduct detailed vibration analysis reviews of turbo generator shaft lines.
  • Assess and analyse mechanical problems and vibration issues in power plant components, adding value through insightful interpretation and proposing effective solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on the condition monitoring of existing or new technologies.
  • Participate in remote condition monitoring service shifts for the main shaft lines of power plants.
  • Take part in an on-call duty rotation (one week every eight weeks) to support urgent client requests.

Your profile as Vibrations Project Engineer

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Enjoys data analysis, reporting, and technical problem-solving.
  • Customer-oriented, strong communicator, and a team player.
  • Works independently and takes initiative.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
  • Interested in operational support and direct client contact, rather than fundamental research or innovation.

We offer you

  • A Competitive salary package with a healthy work-life balance (34 leave days, a hybrid workspace with home working possibilities)
  • Learning & Development opportunities: including training, coaching, mentorship programs, and workshops.
  • An inspiring and green work environment shared with bold colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • A caring, inclusive organization committed to well-being, where you can be yourself.
  • Employee Resource Groups: A unique opportunity within a prominent research and expertise center, with room for career growth across the ENGIE Group.
  • Well-being perks: An on-site gym, fun room, team-building activities, and more!

We'd love to hear from you if this opportunity sparks your interest

Our commitment : At ENGIE Laborelec, we’re building a diverse, inclusive team where everyone can thrive, reflecting the communities we serve.
