Is this job info correct?

Are you passionate about crafting the product surfaces that transform how legal professionals interact with AI? Do you excel at leading engineering teams that ship polished, high-quality user experiences at scale — across web, desktop, mobile, and deep third-party integrations? If so, this role puts you at the center of CoCounsel’s user-facing evolution. As VP of Engineering, Application Experience, you will own the end-to-end engineering for how users experience CoCounsel Next — from the core web application and admin tooling, to bespoke AI-powered workflows, to integrations inside Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Copilot, and beyond. You will lead multiple engineering teams delivering web, custom, and integrated experiences, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering for CoCounsel Legal. About the Role In this opportunity as VP, Engineering – Application Experience, you will: Define and execute the Application Experience engineering strategy, setting the technical vision for CoCounsel’s user interfaces, integration surfaces, and embedded AI experiences — aligned with the product roadmap and Thomson Reuters’ platform goals. Lead and grow engineering managers and their teams, building a high-performance, inclusive culture across a globally distributed organization. Drive talent development, performance differentiation, and effective team structure as the product scales. Own the core CoCounsel web application, including the main agent experience, admin and configuration surfaces, multilingual and I18n support, usage and billing tooling, and bespoke AI workflows such as tabular analysis and litigation drafting. Drive the custom and integrated experiences roadmap, delivering CoCounsel capabilities inside Microsoft Word (drafting plugin), Outlook, Teams, Copilot, Gemini, Claude.ai, and other surfaces via MCP, A2A, and plugin architectures. Shape the mobile and desktop application strategy, partnering with product and design to define CoCounsel’s presence on mobile and desktop platforms. Partner across the engineering pillar, working closely with the VP of Agent Core, AI Platform, Product Management, Design, and Security to deliver seamless, enterprise-grade experiences that leverage the full power of the agent backend. Establish engineering quality and delivery excellence, including frontend architecture standards, accessibility, performance, and continuous delivery practices across all application surfaces. About You You’re a fit for the role of VP, Engineering – Application Experience if you have the following required qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior engineering leadership managing managers and cross-functional delivery teams. Strong track record delivering high-quality, production-grade web applications — ideally in SaaS or enterprise software — at significant scale. Expertise in modern frontend and full-stack engineering, including integration patterns such as plugins, embeds, and third-party platform APIs (e.g., Microsoft 365 ecosystem). Experience shipping AI-powered user experiences — chat interfaces, AI workflow tools, or productivity integrations — and understanding the unique design and engineering challenges they present. Proven success driving product engineering strategy and cross-functional execution at the VP or Director level. Demonstrated ability to partner with Product and Design to translate user needs into high-quality engineering delivery. Additional preferred qualifications include: Experience building integrations within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Word add-ins, Teams apps, Copilot extensions). Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or A2A integration patterns. Background in legal tech, productivity software, or professional-services SaaS products. Experience defining mobile or desktop application strategy from early stages.
