A Brief Overview The Vice President, Global Downstream Marketing & Commercial Activation serves as a key member of the Global Marketing Leadership Team and is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise-wide downstream marketing vision, portfolio activation strategy, and commercial growth agenda across the global aesthetics portfolio. As the enterprise-level authority for downstream marketing, the role translates business and portfolio strategy into differentiated global marketing strategies that shape category development, customer engagement, brand positioning, and long-term market success. The role participates in the development of global product and functional strategy and advises the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership on global market forces, competitive disruption, customer evolution, emerging technologies, regulatory considerations, and investment choices that may materially affect business direction. The position establishes leading-edge downstream marketing practices and drives innovation and transformation. It is expected to build external credibility for the organization and represent the company's perspective in appropriate external forums. This executive leader partners closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Regional Presidents, Franchise Leaders, Medical Affairs, Commercial Leadership, and Executive Management to shape long-term portfolio strategy, optimize global marketing investments, accelerate market adoption, and deliver sustainable business growth. The role oversees global commercial activation, category leadership, digital transformation, customer engagement strategies, agency partnerships, and organizational capability development across multiple regions and brands. What You Will Do Marketing Strategy: Define, govern, and evolve the global downstream marketing strategy and activation framework for the injectables and medical device portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise brand priorities, lifecycle strategy, customer needs, market dynamics, regulatory considerations, regional commercial requirements, and long-term growth objectives. Anticipate disruptive market, customer, channel, regulatory, and technology shifts and translate them into pioneering global marketing approaches that establish new standards for downstream activation. Campaign Development and Execution: Establish global campaign strategy, messaging architecture, content governance, and activation standards for priority brands, launches, relaunches, geographic expansion, and portfolio-level growth initiatives. Ensure global campaign frameworks are scalable, locally adaptable, compliant, insight-driven, and linked to measurable commercial outcomes. Oversee the creation of high-impact content, including digital assets, educational materials, product messaging, and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand and regulatory guidelines. Set new standards for integrated campaign innovation, global scalability, and measurable commercial impact. Social Media Strategy: Oversee global social media strategy, leveraging digital platforms to enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and lead generation. Use digital and social insights to anticipate customer and market shifts, inform global brand strategy, shape engagement models, and guide regional adoption of innovative activation approaches. Define leading-edge digital and social engagement models that position the organization as an external category leader and create market benchmarks for customer engagement. Cross-Functional Leadership and collaboration: Lead enterprise-level cross-functional alignment across Global Marketing, Franchise Leads, Global Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, Regional Marketing, Product Management, Upstream Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial teams to translate portfolio strategy into globally consistent and regionally executable downstream activation plans. Ensure a smooth transition from product development/ positioning and/ or geographic expansion to market delivery. Resolve complex and ambiguous trade-offs across global brand priorities, regional market needs, compliance requirements, resource allocation, timing, and commercial opportunities to ensure effective market delivery and sustainable business impact. Lead resolution of most complex and unprecedented commercialization challenges, establishing decision frameworks and innovative solutions that guide other marketing leaders through ambiguity and material risk. Enterprise Portfolio Leadership: Own the global downstream marketing and commercial activation strategy across the aesthetics portfolio. Partner with executive leadership to shape long-range growth strategies, portfolio priorities, geographic expansion opportunities, investment decisions, and commercialization plans that drive sustainable business performance. Co-shape enterprise portfolio and functional strategy with executive leadership and exercise delegated decision authority for global commercialization priorities, activation models, and strategic market expansion within the downstream marketing remit. Financial Leadership & Investment Strategy: Own and optimize the global downstream marketing investment portfolio, including annual planning, forecasting, resource allocation, ROI measurement, agency investment, and resource prioritization. Ensure marketing investments support enterprise growth objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes. Category Leadership & External Influence: Establish and advance category leadership through global education strategies, key opinion leader engagement, scientific communications, industry partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives that strengthen market authority and accelerate adoption. Serve as a recognized external thought leader for global aesthetics marketing and commercial activation, shaping industry dialogue and influencing external standards, leading practices, and future category development. Build and leverage senior global networks across industry bodies, strategic partners, agencies, key opinion leaders, and executive stakeholders to advance the organization’s market authority and influence. Organizational Leadership & Talent Strategy: Develop and scale a high-performing global marketing organization through succession planning, leadership development, capability building, organizational design, and talent strategies that support future business growth. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across global and regional teams. Shape leadership practices and develop future marketing leaders across the global organization, creating capabilities and operating standards that enable sustained transformation at enterprise scale. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Marketing or equivalent of directly relevant experience 15+ years of Progressive leadership experience in global marketing, commercialization, brand strategy, downstream marketing, or related commercial functions within healthcare, aesthetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or consumer health industries. 10+ years Experience leading global teams, senior leaders, and complex cross-functional organizations across multiple regions and geographies. Executive-level leadership experience within the aesthetics, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, or consumer health industries. Experience operating within global matrix organizations supporting multiple regions and markets Experience partnering with global agencies, key opinion leaders, and executive stakeholders to advance category leadership and commercial growth Experience leading significant organizational transformation, digital marketing modernization, or global operating model initiatives Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Marketing or equivalent of directly relevant experience Experience in beauty/aesthetic/pharma sector strongly preferred Consumer product knowledge/background Technical & Functional Skills Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and drive enterprise-wide strategic decisions across complex global organizations.
