Job Description Overview: The Vice President, Performance Management & Commercial Strategy Planning is responsible for defining and leading Visa's global sales and revenue performance management strategy. This executive will establish the enterprise frameworks, governance, and operating model that align sales investment, productivity, execution, and growth outcomes across Visa's global markets. This executive will be responsible for defining the operating framework that enables consistent execution across Global Sales and Commercial Operations (GSCO), ensuring that strategy, performance measurement, seller effectiveness, planning, and business outcomes are connected through a unified approach. The role will establish the standards, policies, processes, metrics, governance, and insights that drive accountability, accelerate growth, and improve commercial execution across regions and business units. Serving as a key member of the Global Sales & Commercial Operations leadership team, the VP will shape how performance is measured, managed, and optimized across the commercial organization. The role will influence executive decision-making, drive enterprise-wide accountability, and accelerate growth through scalable operating models, data-driven insights, and AI-enabled performance management capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Performance Strategy & Operating Model Leadership: Define Visa's global commercial planning strategy, establishing the frameworks that optimize investment, seller capacity, market coverage, and revenue growth across the enterprise. Translate enterprise priorities into scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and measurable outcomes. Serve as the executive steward of commercial performance, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy, sales execution, and business outcomes across all regions and business units. Enterprise Performance Governance & Accountability: Own Visa's global sales performance framework, including scorecards, KPI governance, target setting methodologies, and performance measurement. Dramatically simplify and standardize of quota, target setting and scorecard reporting across GSCO, business units, and regions. Develop and own sales and revenue crediting rules and policies – ensuring consistent application across front-lines. Ensure performance metrics align to business priorities, growth objectives, and strategic initiatives. Lead enterprise performance reviews with executive leadership, translating commercial insights into strategic decisions and business actions. Establish a single performance framework that enables consistent measurement across sellers, teams, regions, and business units. Sales Capacity Strategy & Growth Optimization: Lead sales planning processes, capacity planning, performance forecasting, and target-setting activities. Partner with Finance and business leaders to align performance expectations with financial and growth objectives. Develop frameworks that optimize seller capacity, account coverage, and resource allocation. Identify opportunities to increase productivity through process improvement, automation, and operational redesign. Customer Journey & Sales Tools Partnership: Partner closely with the Customer Journey organization to ensure tools and operational processes reflect policies and crediting rules. Own governance and measurement to ensure effectiveness and business impact of the tool / customer journey implementation. Ensure commercial processes support a seamless client experience while maintaining operational discipline and scalability. Commercial Intelligence & Strategic Insights: Shape Visa's commercial intelligence strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and AI to identify growth opportunities, optimize sales investments, and influence enterprise priorities. Establish an integrated view of commercial performance across regions, customer segments, and business units. Drive AI-enabled insights and predictive analytics to improve decision making and performance outcomes. Enterprise Transformation & Leadership: Lead the ongoing evolution of GSCO's commercial operating model. Drive adoption of standardized data, tools, processes, and governance frameworks. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD. Preferred Qualifications: 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD). 15+ years of leadership experience in sales performance management, sales planning, commercial strategy, consulting, or related fields. Demonstrated success leading complex global organizations. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect strategy, execution, and financial outcomes. Deep expertise in sales performance management, analytics, planning, and operating model design. Proven ability to influence senior executives in a higly matrixed environment. Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience leading enterprise transformation and organizational change. Information for US Applicants For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $258,100.00 to $ 451,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
