Role Description:
The Video Captioning Specialist is a remote role focused on annotating short, first-person (egocentric) videos to help train robotics AI models. Day-to-day tasks include watching video clips, segmenting them into discrete actions, and writing clear, accurate captions describing each action. The specialist will work within annotation tools using keyboard shortcuts to move efficiently, follow project-specific guidelines for consistency, and meet quality and accuracy standards across a high volume of tasks. The role also involves following established workflows, hitting deadlines, and progressing through a whitelisting test before being assigned paid, ongoing task flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in data annotation, ideally video captioning or similar labeling work
• Strong written English, with excellent spelling, grammar, and clarity
• Comfortable using keyboard shortcuts and annotation/video tools (not traditional subtitling software)
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Fast, detail-oriented, and able to consistently meet quality standards
• Prior experience in data annotation, AI training data, or content labeling is preferred but not required
