About The Role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented contract Video Editor to join our creative team. This role is primarily focused on producing and editing YouTube videos that align with our established content style. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw footage, scripts, and references into engaging, polished videos that replicate the pacing, tone, and visual language of our existing content. You will work closely with our internal team to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of video projects. This position offers flexibility as a remote contract role and requires a strong technical background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed creative instructions. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to our ongoing video production efforts, helping to grow our audience and enhance our brand presence on YouTube.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing YouTube videos with a strong portfolio demonstrating consistency and storytelling skills
• Ability to closely match an established editing style and follow detailed creative direction
• Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience working with shared assets, brand guidelines, and reference videos
• Exceptional attention to detail, including timing, audio levels, text accuracy, and visual consistency
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a remote work environment
• Interest in or familiarity with theme parks, travel, or YouTube content creation
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  
  

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form and short-form YouTube videos to match the specific style of Orlando Informer content creators
• Replicate pacing, music usage, graphics, sound design, and storytelling techniques based on provided examples
• Assemble raw footage, screen recordings, voiceovers, music, and graphics into cohesive finished videos
• Add text overlays, basic motion graphics, b-roll footage, sound effects, and visual enhancements as needed
• Ensure videos adhere to YouTube best practices, including optimal pacing, clarity, and viewer retention strategies
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently, maintaining high quality standards
• Organize project files and exports according to internal standards for easy access and version control
• Consistently meet deadlines and production schedules to support ongoing content releases
• Assist with other video-related tasks as required to support the team’s content goals
