This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone. Our client is a digital marketing agency specializing in helping law firms strengthen their visibility, authority, and online presence. The agency provides services across AI and search visibility, website development, paid media, social media, and video marketing. Role Overview The Video Editor will transform raw attorney footage into polished, branded content for social media, YouTube, websites, and digital advertising. The Video Editor will work with raw footage, transcripts, creative instructions, brand guidelines, logos, templates, and reference videos to produce both short-form and long-form content. This includes identifying strong edits, improving pacing, removing unnecessary dialogue, creating captions and graphics, incorporating relevant B-roll, and ensuring each video follows established client branding. Location Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Key Responsibilities Short-Form Social Video Editing Edit attorney interviews and Q&A footage into engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok when applicable, and paid social advertising. Identify effective beginning and ending points using raw footage or provided transcripts. Remove pauses, mistakes, repeated statements, filler words, unnecessary conversations, and interviewer dialogue when appropriate. Create smooth, natural cuts while maintaining the original meaning of the attorney's message. Improve pacing and keep attorney responses concise and engaging. Create strong opening frames and hooks that immediately communicate the video's topic. Format videos appropriately for each social platform, including vertical 9:16 content. Keep captions, logos, text, and other visual elements within appropriate platform-safe zones. Video Creative & Branding Create clean, modern, professional, engaging, and branded video content. Apply editing techniques such as jump cuts, punch-ins, subtle zooms, pattern interrupts, branded transitions, and motion graphics. Add attorney names, titles, lower thirds, logos, calls-to-action, and other approved brand elements. Create and apply branded intros and outros. Match colors, fonts, logos, and visual styles to client websites or established brand guidelines. Adapt established video templates to individual client branding. Maintain consistent editing styles across recurring content for each client. Ensure editing choices enhance the attorney's message without distracting from the content. B-Roll, Graphics & Supporting Visuals Select and incorporate relevant B-roll when it improves the video. Add graphics, icons, screenshots, on-screen text, and other visual elements when appropriate. Ensure B-roll directly supports the topic being discussed and maintains a professional, realistic appearance. Avoid unnecessary visual elements that distract from the attorney. Create both B-roll and non-B-roll versions when required for testing. Add approved music and sound effects when appropriate while maintaining professional audio balance. Captions & Content Accuracy Create accurate, properly timed, easy-to-read captions for social video content. Maintain correct spelling, grammar, legal terminology, and client-specific information. Apply client branding consistently to captions and subtitles. Selectively emphasize important phrases without making captions visually distracting. Ensure legal terminology and the attorney's intended meaning remain accurate throughout the editing process. Long-Form Video Editing Edit longer attorney interviews, educational videos, and podcast-style conversations for YouTube and other digital channels. Remove mistakes, unnecessary sections, and other content that affects pacing or clarity. Add branded introductions, chapter or topic transitions, B-roll, graphics, lower thirds, music, calls-to-action, and outros when required. Prepare and export final long-form videos for appropriate digital platforms. Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form videos when applicable. Quality Control Review every completed video before submission. Verify spelling, caption accuracy, attorney names, law firm names, logos, websites, phone numbers, and calls-to-action. Confirm correct branding, audio quality, music levels, visual quality, B-roll relevance, aspect ratios, safe-zone placement, and export settings. File & Production Management Maintain organized raw footage, working files, creative assets, revisions, and final exports. Follow established folder structures and project naming conventions. Manage multiple client projects and videos simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and quality standards. Revisions & Collaboration Work closely with the Social Media team and follow provided creative direction. Implement revision feedback accurately and efficiently. Apply previously approved client preferences to future videos to reduce repeated revisions. Review transcripts, question lists, editing notes, brand guidelines, templates, and reference videos independently. Qualifications Experience Professional video editing experience. Strong experience creating short-form and social media video content. Experience editing vertical 9:16 content. Experience editing long-form video content. Experience working from raw footage, transcripts, written creative briefs, and brand guidelines. Experience managing multiple video projects simultaneously. Experience editing professional services, attorneys, doctors, financial professionals, or other authority-driven content is a plus. Skills Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention. Skilled at transforming raw footage into concise, polished content without changing the speaker's intended meaning. Strong captioning and subtitle editing abilities with exceptional attention to accuracy. Able to select relevant B-roll and supporting visuals that enhance rather than distract from the primary content. Comfortable creating basic motion graphics, lower thirds, branded transitions, on-screen text, and other supporting visual elements. Skilled in audio cleanup and leveling, color correction, and preparing professional final exports. Able to maintain consistent branding across large volumes of recurring client content. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain structured project files, assets, revisions, and exports. Able to independently interpret transcripts, creative instructions, templates, and reference materials. Comfortable managing multiple clients, projects, revisions, and deadlines within a high-volume production environment. Proficient with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable tools. Familiarity with additional captioning, motion graphics, audio cleanup, or AI-assisted video editing tools is welcome. What Success Looks Like Raw attorney footage, transcripts, branding, and creative instructions are consistently transformed into polished, client-ready videos. Short-form and long-form content maintains a professional, engaging, and modern editing style. Each law firm's content consistently reflects its established branding and individual visual identity. Captions, legal terminology, contact information, branding, and other client details remain accurate. Videos are delivered on schedule while maintaining established quality standards. Multiple client projects remain organized and easy for the Social Media team to locate and manage. Feedback is accurately incorporated, and recurring revisions decrease as client preferences become established. The Video Editor increasingly works independently without requiring repeated explanations of established editing standards. Video production scales efficiently while every client receives content that feels customized to their brand. Opportunity This role offers the opportunity to play an important part in scaling video production for a growing portfolio of law firm clients. You will create content across social media, YouTube, websites, and digital advertising while developing deep familiarity with professional, authority-driven video content. For a Video Editor who enjoys combining strong editorial judgment, polished creative execution, repeatable production systems, and multi-brand content, this role provides the opportunity to produce meaningful work at scale while continuing to develop expertise across short-form and long-form video production.
