Talk Fast Social (TFS) is a full-service marketing agency based in Spokane, WA, running paid media, organic content, and full-funnel campaigns for clients across multiple industries. Content is at the center of everything we deliver — this role is the engine room for that content.

The Role

We're hiring a mid-level Video Editor to own post-production on short-form social content and paid ad creative for our client roster. This isn't a "make it look nice" role — it's a performance role. Every edit you touch is either going to stop a scroll and drive a result, or it isn't. You'll work from raw footage, brand guidelines, and campaign briefs to produce content that's built to convert, not just to look polished.

You'll be editing across multiple client accounts at once, on a recurring cadence (this is retainer-based agency work, not one-off projects), so consistency, speed, and an eye for what actually performs matter more than a flashy reel.

This role sits inside our production pipeline — you're not choosing what gets made, you're making what's been strategized as good as it can possibly be, on time, every time.

What You'll Do

• Edit short-form social content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) from raw footage into publish-ready deliverables
• Edit paid ad creative variations for active campaigns, including hook testing and A/B variant cuts
• Work from creative briefs, content calendars, and brand/style guides across multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Add captions, motion graphics, sound design, and color correction to a professional, on-brand standard
• Manage your own file organization and version control inside our shared project structure
• Turn around revisions quickly and incorporate feedback without needing it re-explained twice

We want you to know exactly what "doing this job well" means before you ever apply — not find out after you're hired.

Speed & reliability

• Sustained average output of 15–20 edited videos per day — you manage your own pace across the day, but this is the volume the role is built around
• Zero missed deadlines without proactive, advance communication
• Revision requests addressed within 24 hours

Quality & consistency

• Edits require minimal revision rounds (target: 1–2 rounds average) because briefs were followed and brand standards were applied correctly the first time
• Output is consistent enough across client accounts that a producer never has to "clean up" your cuts before client delivery
• Hooks and pacing are edited with retention in mind, not just aesthetics

Output & ownership

• Comfortably manage a rotating volume of multiple client accounts per day without dropped deliverables
• Ad variant cuts are genuinely differentiated (not just trimmed re-exports) so testing produces real signal
• You're the reason clients keep saying yes to their retainer, not a bottleneck the account team has to route around

What You Bring

• 2–4 years of professional video editing experience (agency, in-house brand, or high-volume freelance)
• Strong working fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro (this is non-negotiable — we move fast and don't have time for a tool learning curve)
• A demonstrated eye for short-form social pacing and what makes people stop scrolling
• Experience editing paid ad creative, or a clear understanding of how ad edits differ from organic content edits
• Comfort managing multiple projects/clients concurrently without losing quality on any of them
• Self-sufficiency — you can take a brief and run, and you know when to ask a clarifying question vs. when to just make the right call
• Reliable, deadline-driven work habits in a fully remote setting

Nice to Have

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve or motion graphics tools (After Effects)
• Background working in a retainer-based agency model
• Experience editing for dental, aesthetic, real estate, or local service-based clients

Where This Role Goes

This is not a role we expect to stay static, and we're not hiring it to stay static.

As TFS grows, our editing workload grows with it — and we'd rather build a lead editor from inside than hire one in cold from outside. The path we have in mind: prove out the standard above as an individual editor first, then grow into leading a small team of editors — owning quality control, delegating and reviewing cuts, training new hires on our brand/editing standards, and becoming the person a producer goes to instead of the person a producer edits after.

We're upfront about this because we want someone who actually wants that trajectory, not someone looking for a static freelance-style gig. If "eventually running the editing team" sounds like the ceiling you want to hit, this is built for you.
