With a comprehensive database of over 1,000 cases, Democracy Docket is the go-to source for tracking and understanding election and voting litigation — providing breaking news and in-depth analysis on voting rights and election litigation and policy that will shape our elections and democratic institutions for years to come. We reach over 450,000 newsletter subscribers through free daily and weekly newsletters, offer a premium membership with exclusive content, and have built a social media following of more than 2 million across our channels — including 750,000+ YouTube subscribers. Job Overview Democracy Docket is seeking a Video Journalist to appear on camera and translate our reporting on voting rights and election law into engaging, accessible short-form video content. This role blends on-camera presence with hands-on production, covering breaking political and legal news in real time for social platforms. Appear on additional video platforms as needed to support Democracy Docket's broader content and audience growth strategy. Work with reporters and the news division to stay current on political and legal developments. Use analytics to inform content decisions and on-camera strategy . Qualifications 5+ years of experience in video journalism, producing, or a related field, with on-camera experience.
