Role Description The Video Editor role at Griffity Studios is a full-time remote position responsible for shaping compelling visual narratives for client brands. On a day-to-day basis, the Video Editor will assemble raw footage, sync audio, and apply cuts, transitions, and effects to create polished videos for digital campaigns, social media, websites, and events. The role includes color correction, basic sound design, motion graphics integration, and adherence to brand guidelines and creative briefs. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with producers, designers, and writers, provide input on storyboarding and shot selection, and manage project files, versioning, and delivery timelines. This role also involves optimizing content for various platforms, maintaining high technical standards, and contributing creative ideas to enhance overall production quality.

Qualifications

• Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve), including cutting, sequencing, transitions, and export workflows.
• Experience with post-production techniques such as color grading, basic sound editing, and integration of motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, collaborate on storyboards, and apply visual storytelling principles to support branding and marketing objectives.
• Familiarity with digital content formats and requirements for social media, web, and advertising platforms, including aspect ratios, compression, and optimization.
• Strong organizational skills for managing assets, timelines, and multiple projects in a remote environment, with attention to detail and consistency.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional creative teams and providing constructive feedback.
• Relevant experience in a creative agency, production studio, or similar environment; portfolio or reel showcasing diverse video projects is required.
• Preferred: Knowledge of basic animation, 3D or AR/VR pipelines, and familiarity with branding and UI/UX concepts; degree or training in film, media, design, or related field is a plus.
