Role Description The Vietnamese Interpreter role is a full-time remote position focused on providing high-quality interpretation between Vietnamese and English in a virtual call center environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately interpreting live phone or video conversations, primarily for medical, legal, and customer service contexts, while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality. The interpreter will clarify meaning when needed, manage turn-taking, and ensure that cultural nuances are conveyed appropriately and respectfully. The role also involves documenting sessions as required, following client-specific protocols, and adhering to industry standards and ethical guidelines. In addition, the interpreter participates in ongoing training, collaborates with supervisors and teammates, and uses call center software and communication tools to deliver consistent, professional service.
Qualifications

• Strong language proficiency in Vietnamese and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated interpreting skills, including consecutive interpretation, note-taking, and accurate meaning transfer in real-time.
• Familiarity with medical and legal terminology, especially as it relates to interpretation in clinical and legal service settings.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote call center environment, including comfort with virtual communication platforms and call-handling tools.
• Highly developed customer service skills, including professionalism, empathy, and clear communication with diverse populations.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards and client protocols.
• Solid time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle back-to-back calls and maintain performance targets.
• Experience in interpretation, translation, or related fields; prior call center or telehealth interpreting experience is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or formal training in languages, interpretation, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and readiness to participate in ongoing training and performance evaluations.
