Role Description

Senior Consultant at APRO is a full-time hybrid role based in Istanbul, with flexibility for partial work from home. The consultant will design, implement, and optimize VMware VCF based solutions for enterprise customers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing customer environments, leading solution architecture and deployment, migrating workloads, and integrating VMware VCF platforms with existing infrastructure. The role involves providing technical leadership, producing documentation and best practices, delivering workshops or trainings, and collaborating closely with sales, project management, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. The Senior Consultant will also troubleshoot complex issues, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and stay current with VMware by Broadcom product updates and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Must
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar position or PS Consulting role
• Strong expertise in VMware virtualization technologies and experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale virtual infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and data center solutions, including storage architecture, backup/restore, and network virtualization concepts.
• Background in IT systems integration, including Windows and Linux server administration, scripting or automation (such as PowerShell or Python), and performance tuning.
• Experience in security and compliance for virtualized environments, including access control, hardening, and monitoring/logging practices.
• Proven consulting skills, including requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, and customer-facing communication in complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative working style and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to lead technical workshops and deliver applied trainings to customer IT teams or project stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English. Full clean driving license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as VMware VCP/VCAP, or similar virtualization/cloud credentials) are highly beneficial.
• An advanced sense of humor :)
• Experience in First-Person Shooter (FPS) gaming or chess! ;)
