Role Description The Volunteer Community Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible;

1. for nurturing and growing the TorestTech Hub community.

2. Moderates discussions, welcomes new members, and ensures a positive, inclusive environment across online platforms.

3. Day-to-day tasks include planning and hosting community events or virtual meetups, sharing resources, and encouraging member participation in learning activities.

4. The role also involves gathering feedback from community members, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, and collaborating with the core team on content and initiatives.

The Volunteer Community Manager helps position TorestTech as a supportive space for IT support professionals and enthusiasts.

Qualifications

• Community management and online moderation skills, with the ability to foster inclusive, respectful interactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written communication and active listening.
• Basic understanding of IT support or technology operations, with interest in helping others grow in this field.
• Organizational and planning skills for coordinating virtual events, activities, and content schedules.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and social platforms used for community engagement.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and volunteer consistently in a part-time capacity.
• Experience in community building, customer support, or tech user groups is an advantage but not required.
