Web Application Security Engineer

We are recruiting a Web Application Security Engineer for our global technology and engineering client, an international company developing advanced solutions across industries including communications, automotive, energy, aerospace, defense and semiconductors.

You will join the Information Security & Compliance organization and work closely with development teams to identify, manage and remediate web application security vulnerabilities.

What you'll be working on:

• Perform and interpret automated web application security scans using Tenable Web App Scanning (WAS) and Burp Suite Professional/Enterprise
• Analyze vulnerabilities and support development teams throughout the remediation process
• Track vulnerabilities and fixes through to closure
• Contribute to the organization's vulnerability management program
• Support scan scheduling, security reporting and vulnerability metrics
• Work with web technologies and protocols including HTTP, TLS, DNS and SSH

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in Web Application Security
• Hands-on experience with Tenable Web App Scanning (WAS)
• Hands-on experience with Burp Suite Professional or Enterprise / DAST
• Good understanding of web application vulnerabilities and remediation
• Experience with Vulnerability Management
• Strong understanding of common protocols such as HTTP, TLS, DNS and SSH
• Ability to clearly explain technical security findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Currently based in Romania

Experience with PKI and certificate management would be a strong advantage.

Location: Fully remote, anywhere in Romania

Contract: B2B or employment contract

Rate: €30–38/hour
