Overview
We are seeking a creative, highly detail-oriented Website Designer with strong graphic design skills to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design, branding, layout, and user experience who can translate ideas and briefs into visually compelling, conversion-focused websites as well as marketing assets such as digital ads, banners, social media graphics, and other creative collateral.
Attention to detail is extremely important in this role. We are looking for a designer who takes pride not only in how their work looks, but also in how their design files are structured, organised, named, and prepared for collaboration and handover.
What You Will Do
- Design engaging, fully custom, responsive website layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Create high-quality graphics for websites, digital advertising campaigns, banners, social media, and other marketing channels.
- Translate briefs, brand guidelines, and marketing objectives into polished, conversion-focused designs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and development teams to maintain brand consistency across digital platforms.
- Adapt and customize existing templates to meet client requirements while maintaining strong user experience and conversion principles.
- Prepare professional website mockups, design concepts, and style guides for internal and client approval.
- Maintain clean, well-organized Figma files, including logical page structures, frames, components, layers, and assets.
- Follow clear and consistent Figma layer and component naming conventions so files can be easily understood and used by developers and other designers.
- Correctly organize and manage logos, brand assets, typography, colors, icons, imagery, and reusable design components.
- Prepare designs and assets for smooth developer handover.
- Review your own work carefully for spacing, alignment, typography, consistency, image quality, responsive behavior, branding, and other visual details before submission.
- Ensure all design output is high-quality, brand-aligned, accurate, and delivered on time.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, UX/UI best practices, and digital marketing design standards.
What We Require
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in website design and graphic design.
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Strong proficiency in relevant design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Canva.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both website design and graphic design work.
- Good understanding of responsive design, user-centered design, and mobile-first principles.
- Strong understanding of typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, color, branding, and layout.
- Ability to follow existing brand guidelines while maintaining visual consistency.
- Exceptional attention to detail — this is a critical requirement for the role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Ability to receive feedback, make revisions efficiently, and maintain quality across multiple rounds of changes.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with WordPress and common page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or similar. If you're primarily a designer but are willing to learn these tools, we'd still love to hear from you.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor website adjustments.
- Familiarity with SEO-friendly web design practices.
- Experience designing landing pages with a focus on lead generation and conversions.
- Experience creating additional marketing collateral such as ebooks, brochures, presentations, lead magnets, or downloadable guides.
- Experience working with developers and preparing organised design files for development handover.
Beyond technical ability, we are looking for someone who is meticulous about the small details. Your Figma files should be just as professional behind the scenes as the finished design is visually. Layers should be organized and named correctly, logos and brand assets should be handled consistently, spacing and alignment should be intentional, and files should be easy for another designer or developer to pick up and understand. If you notice when something is a few pixels out of alignment, when typography is inconsistent, or when a layer called 'Rectangle 247 Copy 19' really needs a proper name, you'll probably fit in well here.
