Web Development Internship

Olive Tree Consulting is adding a Web Development Intern to our team to support a large scale engagement with a major financial services provider. This is a full-time, fully remote internship where you will help build the technical tools that make management clearer and easier to track. The role involves translating structural management habits into functional digital records that our clients use every day.

About the role
In this position, you will support our advisory practice by building and maintaining the digital tools we use to solve management friction. Often, our work requires creating internal portals or tracking systems where leadership teams can record decisions and ownership. You will be responsible for the front end and basic back end logic that keeps these systems running. Because the firm operates entirely remotely, you will work closely with our advisors through clear written updates and shared code repositories to ensure our technical solutions match our practical advice.

What you will do

• Build and update clean, functional web pages using HTML and CSS based on project requirements.
• Develop small JavaScript scripts to handle data input and basic calculations for management dashboards.
• Help maintain internal documentation so that both our team and our clients understand how to use the tools we build.
• Conduct testing across different browsers and devices to ensure a consistent experience for all users.
• Work with the team to simplify existing code, focusing on stability and ease of maintenance.
• Assist in the setup of lightweight databases or structured spreadsheets to store project information.
• Participate in remote project syncs to provide updates on technical tasks and timelines.
• Ensure that all digital interfaces are accessible, clear, and easy for non-technical users to navigate.
