WMS Consultant (ERP integration)

WMS / ERP Integration Consultant – 100% Remote (Freelance / Contract)

You will act as the senior WMS ERP Consultant responsible for designing, validating, and supporting integrations between Warehouse Management Systems and ERP platforms across a retail‑focused environment. This is a 100% remote, freelance engagement expected to run for 12 months.

Remit

• ERP–WMS Integration - Design, analyse, and support end‑to‑end integration flows between ERP and WMS platforms.
• Middleware Coordination - Work with middleware teams to ensure stable, high‑quality interface execution.
• Warehouse Process Expertise - Apply deep understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, stock movements, and invoicing.
• Retail Logistics Support - Support retail‑specific fulfilment, replenishment, and store‑distribution processes.
• EDI Message Handling - Validate and troubleshoot EDI messages (orders, ASNs, invoices, inventory updates).
• Quality & Detail Focus - Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all integration touchpoints.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration - Work with ERP teams, WMS vendors, logistics leads, and integration partners.

Skills

• Strong experience as a WMS / ERP Integration Consultant
• Hands‑on ERP integration & middleware experience (API, queues, IDocs, EDI, file‑based flows)
• Retail industry experience (highly preferred)
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations including invoicing
• Attention to detail & quality‑driven approach
• Experience with EDI formats (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, etc.)
• Ability to work independently in a remote contract setup
