This project requires the creation of secure, high-performance environments to house complex financial arguments and investment data. To assist with this effort, Mosaic Conseil is adding a WordPress Developer Intern to our remote team. This is a full-time internship designed for a student or recent graduate who prefers technical precision over corporate theater.

Whether it is a three-year plan, a pricing grid, or a diligence file, we take things apart on the bench and put them back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. The process is personal and focused. Every file carries two names on the cover: one person who builds and one who argues against what was built. We do not work on standing retainers and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we return the same artifact you sent, redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument. We keep the workshop small on purpose to ensure that the people who do the work also answer their own phones. We focus on four specific rooms: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. By staying small and remote, we remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business.
What you would do
In this role, you will focus on the technical implementation of our digital artifacts. You will not be building marketing sites or generic blogs. Instead, you will be developing and maintaining the WordPress systems that house our analysis for the Saudi investment group. Your day to day work involves the following:
- Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins that prioritize legibility and security.
- Writing clean, documented PHP code to handle custom data structures and financial reporting templates.
- Managing database queries to ensure that large volumes of investment data load quickly and accurately.
- Configuring user permissions and security protocols to protect sensitive client information.
- Collaborating with our analysts to translate written financial arguments into clear digital formats.
- Auditing existing site code to remove bloat and improve performance.
- Participating in our builder/challenger model by reviewing the technical logic of your teammates.
Helpful background
We are looking for a thinker who understands how the web works at a fundamental level. While this is an internship, we expect a solid foundation in technical principles. You should have:
- Basic proficiency in PHP, HTML, and CSS.
- A clear understanding of how WordPress handles data, including the loop, hooks, and custom post types.
- Familiarity with local development environments and version control using Git.
- A preference for writing original code rather than relying on bloated third party page builders.
- Strong written communication skills, as our firm relies heavily on written arguments.
