We’re looking for a Workday Reporting professional with strong hands-on experience in Workday
Report Writer and report administration, along with solid skills in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of HR/enterprise data,
business reporting, and technology. You’ll serve as a key resource for Workday reporting while also developing and supporting broader Business Intelligence and reporting solutions.
You’ll partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, HRIS, Data/BI, and business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, turn requirements into effective solutions, ensure data accuracy, and continuously improve the organization's reporting capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary resource for Workday reporting, including report development, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Design, develop, modify, and maintain Workday custom and advanced reports based on business requirements.
- Work with Workday data sources, business objects, calculated fields, prompts, filters, and reporting logic.
- Troubleshoot Workday reporting issues related to data accuracy, report performance, access, and security.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective reporting solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling and visualization.
- Develop and maintain SSRS reports, including layouts, datasets, parameters, filters, expressions, and subscriptions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support Power BI and SSRS reporting requirements.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Support report testing, troubleshooting, enhancements, and production deployment.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve existing reporting processes.
- Maintain clear documentation covering reports, data sources, reporting logic, and technical processes.
- Provide ongoing production support across Workday, Power BI, and SSRS.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Workday reporting, preferably as a Workday Report Writer, Reporting Analyst, or Reporting Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and administering Workday reports.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboards, reports, data modeling, and visualization.
- Hands-on experience with SSRS report development and maintenance.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating reporting data.
- Experience gathering reporting requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple reporting requests, enhancements, and production issues.

Experience with:
- Workday Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, Matrix Reports, and Calculated Fields
- Workday reporting security and report administration
- Workday integrations or data extracts
- Power BI Service, workspace management, and report deployment
- SSRS subscriptions, parameters, expressions, and scheduled reporting
- HR, Finance, Payroll, or other enterprise business data
- Data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
- Enterprise BI environments
- Agile or other structured development methodologies
