YOUR TEAM To support our development team working on a high-performance computing and integration ECU, we are looking for a motivated working student. You will gain first-hand experience in advanced automotive system development and become an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. Our focus is the development and optimization of vehicle software for a central ECU within the Volkswagen Group's premium E/E Architecture. The team works across the full spectrum of modern automotive engineering, including E/E Architecture, Automotive Bus Communication, In-Vehicle Diagnostics & Update, Safety & Security and Testing. WHAT YOU WILL DO Support the team in solving complex technical challenges Contribute to system development activities across different disciplines Take ownership of individual work packages and technical topics Support requirements engineering, analysis, and documentation Collaborate with experts from different engineering domains WHO YOU ARE Enrolled student in the area of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or similar field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn Basic knowledge in Automotive communication protocols (LIN, CAN, Automotive Ethernet) Basic knowledge in Automotive E/E Architectures Basic knowledge in AUTOSAR or Linux-based systems Basic knowledge of one or more of the following areas is a plus: Vehicle diagnostics, Functional safety, Cybersecurity, Requirements engineering NICE TO KNOW Remote work options within Germany Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to two years) 20 hours/week, up to 35 hours/week during the semester break Salary: 17,80€/hour At CARIAD, we embrace individuality and diversity because we believe our differences make us stronger.
