What You'll Do
Supervise the health and safety compliance across the workshop, setting the tone and always leading by exampleOversee and lead Technicians to achieve KPIs including, but not limited to, customer satisfaction, productivity, Fix Right First Time, profitability and cost savingsMonitor performance consistently and be responsible for quality within the workshop, reporting progress to management daily, together with any specific incidentsIdentify any roadblocks disturbing workshop flow and ensure that each technician has the tools and training to perform their roleOversee inventory management, making sure the workshop is tidy and well organizedEnsure that work standards and available engineering procedures are up-to-date, accurate and that all work is compliantHold daily meetings with the team, outlining expectations and workload for the day aheadAct as the main point of contact within the workshop, connecting with customers directly if required to limit escalation casesPlan, prepare and distribute work to technicians based on skill level, capacity and resourceMotivate, lead and inspire the team in continuous improvements and efficienciesConduct regular one-to-ones and feedback sessions with Technicians, providing constructive and clear coaching and following up on development plans and any personnel casesIdentify any training needs within the team and arrange relevant training courses as requiredLiaise daily with internal teams within the Service Centre including Sales, Delivery, Parts, Front of House and local Senior Management
What You'll Bring
Technical automotive background as a Service Technician is highly preferableIdeally have experience of working with Electric VehiclesProven ability to lead by example and be innovative with processes and efficienciesAnalytical ability to understand and impact key performance indicatorsProblem solving initiative to fix problems when they arise, but also understand why and how they happenedAbility to motivate a team, to engage and facilitate others to achieve and succeedA calm, considered approach with exceptional communication skillsFlexibility; willing to work both day and evening shiftsDigitally savvy – ability to adopt and adapt quickly to new technology and systemsGood knowledge of MS OfficeAble to communicate, read, and write effectively in the English language, and other local languages if requiredMust have and continue to maintain a valid driving license and safe driving record
