SOCCER SHOTS COUS: Soccer Shots COUS (COUS) was established in 2010. COUS covers the regions of Washington D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia, Miami FL, New York City NY, York PA, and Nashville TN. Soccer Shots NYC Central covers Brooklyn and Manhattan. COUS works closely with Soccer Shots Franchising national headquarters in Middletown, PA. Reports to: Executive Director DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES : The Coaching Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our team of instructors across New York City Central. The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for managing instructor performance through regular evaluation and performance conversations. In this role, you will work with the Program Director. You will be responsible for ensuring that all instructors meet the standards of program quality and creating a liberating culture within the team and the organization. ABOUT YOU You are a person of high character, and have a positive reputation You are well known for being warm and welcoming in the many communities of which you are connected You are great at communicating with others You are extremely organized You are hungry, humble, smart, and love growing in personally & professionally You are a seasoned local in the NYC Central area, and well versed in various communities and organizations WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Support instructor development through evaluations, feedback, and documented coaching conversations under the guidance of leadership Communicate seasonal staffing needs and observations to Executive Director to plan for recruitment Screen, interview and recommend hiring of coaches to Executive Director Develop strong relationships with part-time instructors; identify key individuals that can grow within our organization Create and manage schedules for part-time instructors across different territories Assist in leading the regular instructor meetings to discuss new initiatives, trends, etc. Support and implement initiatives designed by leadership to reinforce core values Work with the Operations team to track and report on established performance indicators Weekly meetings with Executive Director and Operations team to discuss and analyze program quality and needs Coaching Prior soccer experience is not required. We only require the passion for positively impacting children’s lives and look for individuals that are safety conscious, caring, organized, responsible and energetic. You will be the face of Soccer Shots and responsible for executing incredible sessions that showcase what Soccer Shots is all about to new instructors and key stakeholders. Coach up to 15-20 sessions per week per season. Where possible, use coaching sessions as training opportunities for instructors. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree Required Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a team in a fast-paced environment Minimum 1-3 years of event planning or customer service experience Experience working or supervising part-time employees Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office Warm, motivated and approachable personality ROLE/CLASSIFICATION: The job description above is a full-time, non-exempt position. Working Hours/Location/Schedule: The position requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week or more depending on business needs. This position has weekend and weeknight requirements as many of our programs take place during these times. This role will be primarily remote/hybrid where you will meet in-person with the members of the NYC Central team periodically each week. You will work out details of your weekly agenda with the Executive Director. Performance Evaluation and Reviews: Soccer Shots will perform an initial review after 60 days.
