Role Description

ZAČETNIK NA PODROČJU OBRAČUNA PLAČ / ACC Associate is a full-time hybrid role based in Ljubljana, with the possibility of partial work from home. In this entry-level position, the associate supports payroll processing activities, including collecting and verifying employee data, preparing calculations, and assisting with monthly payroll runs under supervision. The role includes maintaining accurate records, supporting the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders, and helping ensure compliance with local tax and labor regulations. The associate collaborates with senior team members and other departments, responds to basic employee inquiries related to payroll, and contributes to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentation. Training and guidance are provided to support professional growth in payroll accounting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of payroll processes, accounting principles, and an interest in developing expertise in payroll calculation and compliance.
• Ability to work accurately with numerical data, strong attention to detail, and basic proficiency with spreadsheets or accounting software.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to follow structured procedures and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in Slovenian, and working knowledge of English for internal and client communication.
• Collaborative mindset, willingness to learn from more experienced colleagues, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Relevant education in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field (completed or in progress), or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in tax, finance, and compliance consulting; prior internship or student work in accounting or administration is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Slovenian labor and tax regulations related to payroll is beneficial; training will be provided for motivated learners.
