We are looking for an early-career Software Engineer who is interested in financial markets, real-time systems, trading infrastructure, and data engineering.

This is a hands-on, zero-to-one opportunity. You will help us build a practical and reliable trading system from the ground up, including order management, market data processing, risk controls, execution monitoring, and trading data infrastructure.

Depending on your background and strengths, you may begin with either the trading execution system or the trading database and data infrastructure.

What You’ll Work On

• Develop and maintain trading system components using C++ and Python
• Build order entry, order monitoring, execution confirmation, position tracking, and risk-control modules
• Integrate broker, exchange, market data, or trading APIs
• Design databases and data pipelines for market data, orders, executions, positions, P&L, and risk records
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and fault recovery
• Develop logging, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools
• Work closely with traders and quantitative researchers to turn trading requirements into reliable software
• Test, document, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production workflows

Minimum Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficiency in both C++ and Python
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with SQL, databases, Linux, Git, and basic networking concepts
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and testable code
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to troubleshoot real operational problems
• Ability to communicate professionally in either English or Mandarin; bilingual ability is welcome but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to a large software project through employment, internships, academic research, open-source work, or personal projects
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, real-time systems, or performance optimization
• Familiarity with trading systems, OMS/EMS platforms, broker APIs, exchange connectivity, or financial market data
• Experience with PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Redis, Kafka, or other high-volume data technologies
• Knowledge of futures, equities, options, order books, risk controls, or the trade lifecycle
• Experience building monitoring, reconciliation, logging, or fault-tolerant systems
• Strong interest in financial markets and trading technology
