Academic Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and the Maynard Children’s Hospital located at ECU Health Medical center in Greenville, North Carolina, are expanding and seeking Pediatric Hospitalists to join their growing hospitalist team. Applicants should be BE/BC in Pediatrics.

Candidates who are also BE/BC in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and who have completed a hospitalist fellowship are preferred.

James and Connie Maynard Childrens Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center

The James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, located on the campus of ECU Health Medical Center, is designed to care for children from newborns to 18 years of age (and up to 21 years of age if patient is being followed by a pediatric physician). The 206,499 square foot 198-bed facility provides highly specialized services including a pediatric intensive care (PICU), neonatal intensive care (NICU), kids immunosuppressed specialty unit (KISU), specialty care nursery, mother-baby unit, pediatric ECMO services, 24/7 children’s emergency department, acute dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), pediatric radiology, pediatric rehabilitation, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and craniofacial surgery. The James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center is a designated Children’s Miracle Network hospital, placing it among the nation’s top children’s facilities.

The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University

The Brody School of Medicine has trained physicians for more than 50 years as the only allopathic medical school in North Carolina’s Atlantic Coastal Plain. The school’s mission is to increase the supply of primary care physicians to meet the state’s medical needs, especially in the east. It is consistently recognized as a Tier 1 institution for primary care and family medicine by U.S. News & World Report. Each year, Graduate Medical Education trains approximately 450 residents and fellows across three dozen programs.
