Academic Support and Curricular Innovation Program Associate - Law College of Law Job Summary The Program Associate for Curricular Innovation & Student Academic Support works in close partnership with the Program Associate for Curricular Innovation & Operations to advance the College's legal education initiatives. This includes the new online Master of Science in Law (MSL) program, undergraduate legal education developments, the Chicago Law Program, and related strategic efforts. The role focuses on student academic success, inclusive learning experiences, and curricular innovation for diverse and non-traditional audiences, while exercising independent academic judgment. Duties & Responsibilities Student Academic Support & Inclusive Learning Experiences • Serve as a primary academic support resource for prospective and admitted students across programs, coordinating with internal and external partners on admissions, registration, and student success. • Design and sustain inclusive, high-quality online and hybrid learning experiences, including student engagement strategies, accessibility, and best practices in asynchronous delivery. • Provide TA oversight, TA training, and direct support to instructors on course organization and pedagogical innovation. • Collaborate on the development of academic assessments tailored to diverse learner needs. Curricular Innovation & Program Development • Contribute to curricular development for the online MSL, undergraduate initiatives, Chicago Law Program, and emerging projects. • Help create legal education content, modules, and strategies suited to working professionals and non-traditional students. • Support program strategy, evaluation, and continuous improvement aligned with College goals. • Offer specialized legal expertise to inform academic judgments in admissions, curricular design, and student support. Admissions, Assessment & Collaboration • Participate in admissions review, criteria development, and decision processes. • Partner with operational and student support teams on program evaluations and holistic success initiatives. General Responsibilities • Maintain records, generate reports, and support compliance needs. • Stay current with trends in legal education and inclusive pedagogy. • Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Occasional evening and weekend work, and some travel within Illinois will be required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, advanced legal degree (JD, LLM, SJD) or equivalent strongly preferred. • Experience in online/hybrid program support and student academic success in higher education. Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/15/2025. Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000-$60,000. This position is eligible for visa sponsorship.
