Founding Account Executive

A fast-growing, seed-stage healthcare and life sciences startup using AI to help clinical trials run faster is looking for a Founding Account Executive to become its first dedicated seller.

This is a true 0→1 sales opportunity where you’ll build the sales motion from the ground up, own the full cycle from outbound prospecting through close, and work directly with the founding team on deals, pricing, positioning, and GTM strategy. The company has already onboarded 300+ clinical research sites and is now looking for someone who can turn that early traction into a repeatable revenue engine.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through closed-won revenue
• Self-source pipeline through cold email, LinkedIn, conferences, and other outbound channels
• Build outbound sequences, campaigns, messaging, and sales collateral from scratch
• Run discovery calls, pilots, negotiations, and closing conversations
• Work directly with the founders on pricing, deal strategy, positioning, and GTM
• Use AI and automation tools to make prospecting and sales workflows more efficient
• Help build the initial sales playbook and processes that future hires will inherit

What We’re Looking For

• 2–10 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, startup sales, or a related GTM role
• Proven ability to self-source pipeline rather than relying primarily on inbound leads or SDR support
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-moving environment
• Strong full-cycle sales experience with an emphasis on revenue and deals closed
• AI-native and comfortable using modern sales tools and automation
• Highly proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating without an established playbook
• Healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or biopharma experience is a plus
• Strong academic background or another clear signal of intellectual horsepower preferred
• Management consultants looking to transition into startup sales/GTM may also be considered
• Must be able to work 3 days/week in San Francisco

Compensation & Benefits

• Base: $135K–$150K
• OTE: $270K–$300K+
