We are looking to recruit 2 permanent band 7 ADHD Senior practitioner. We will consider candidates who are currently under going their NMP (Non-Medical Prescribing) training and obtaining their (v300) at University. Please do apply if you are currently training or about to start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the ADHD Team, within at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust as part of this developing service.
The primary function of the post will be to carry out diagnostic assessments of children and young people referred to the service. the post holder will be responsible for prescribing and review of ADHD medication.
- The post holder will be expected to have an understanding and experience of working with ADHD, but training and support will be provided. The post holder will also have broad knowledge of general mental health conditions.
- Experience of working with ADHD (adults or children) is required but additional training/supervision and support will be provided.
- The post holder will be expected to have clinical skills training working towards but training and support will be provided.
- The post holder would be expected to work flexibly across team bases according to service needs and will be expected to use mobile technology to enable this.
Develop and provide an innovative specialist service for children, young people and their families
who need assessing for a potential diagnosis or ADHD, then provide after care if treatment is required.
A challenging role that includes offering sensitive support, advice to families, children or young people who have Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ADHD) before, during and after diagnosis. Provide on-going 1 to 1 health care, behaviour management advice to families and children/young people within the post holder’s expertise. Act as a point of contact for families throughout the process of assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
To act as specialist information, advisory and training resource to healthy, children’s schools and families and other voluntary and statutory service providers.
