THE POSITION The Project Coordinator will support the effective planning, administration and delivery of the Afghan Women’s National Team (AWNT) programme. The role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day project activities, logistics, documentation, communications, reporting and operational support across camps, matches, meetings, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Coordinator will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the programme runs smoothly, professionally and with strong attention to player and staff welfare. These are your key tasks: Support day-to-day project coordination, administration and delivery. Maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, risk registers and reports. Prepare meetings, briefings, presentations, minutes and follow-up actions. Manage document storage and keep key information accurate and up to date. Coordinate logistics including travel, accommodation, transport, venues and equipment. Liaise with FIFA teams, stakeholders, suppliers and service providers. Maintain team, player, registration and travel records. Support visa, immigration, accreditation and player release processes. Coordinate support staff and ensure alignment across key functions. Help maintain a safe, respectful and player-centred environment. Provide on-site support during camps, matches and tournaments. Keep players and staff informed with clear schedules and logistics updates. Identify operational risks, support contingency planning and escalate issues promptly. Foster a positive, organised and collaborative team environment. Communicate with players and staff in a professional, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed way. Support evaluations, capture lessons learned and improve operational processes. Support budget tracking, invoices and expense documentation. Support strategic planning and long-term development of AWU. Support the elevation, visibility and narrative of AWNT across international football, media, and humanitarian spaces. Support all content creation, storytelling, press relations, and digital communication. Support media representation and ensuring alignment of safeguarding standards for players.
