AI Engineer (Generative AI & Machine Learning)

This role requires the candidate to work on-site in Tokyo, Japan. As part of its continued growth in AI services, the organization is expanding its engineering team to support enterprise AI initiatives involving Generative AI, Computer Vision, Predictive AI, and Machine Learning. Engineers will collaborate with international teams, contribute to cutting-edge AI projects, and work with the latest technologies to develop impactful business solutions. Job Role The AI Engineer will design, develop, and implement AI solutions across enterprise projects involving Generative AI, Image AI, Predictive AI, and Machine Learning. Working closely with global engineering teams and business stakeholders, this role focuses on building scalable AI applications, optimizing machine learning models, and delivering innovative AI-driven solutions that address client business challenges. The position also offers opportunities to research emerging AI technologies, contribute to internal AI capabilities, and collaborate on international projects within a global technology environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize AI models for Generative AI, Computer Vision, Predictive AI, and Machine Learning projects. Develop AI algorithms and perform model tuning to improve performance and accuracy. Build and maintain supporting components including data processing pipelines, RAG implementations, and AI workflows. Collaborate with global engineering teams, technology partners, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout project delivery. Research, evaluate, and implement emerging AI technologies to enhance solution capabilities. Contribute to internal AI knowledge sharing, technical assets, and capability development initiatives. Support AI solution development for enterprise clients while ensuring scalability, reliability, and business value. Participate in technical discussions, innovation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other AI engineering and development tasks as required. Candidate Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 3–5 years of professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI solution development. Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Image AI, Predictive AI, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning technologies. Strong Python programming skills are required. Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent) is mandatory. Professional English proficiency is required for collaboration with global teams. Strong communication skills with clients and internal business stakeholders. Experience with NVIDIA AI technologies such as CUDA, NeMo, or NIM is highly desirable. Experience with Generative AI technologies including RAG, Fine-Tuning, Reinforcement Learning, or Quantization is an advantage. Experience working with international teams or overseas organizations is preferred. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and offshore development environments is a plus. Experience utilizing AI for requirement gathering, documentation, design support, or business process improvement is highly valued. Knowledge or experience in AI system architecture and solution design is an advantage. Candidates with previous work experience in Japan are preferred.
