Own AI image generation for a $1Billion+ brand. Produce hero, lifestyle and advertising imagery that meets brand standard consistently, at production volume.

Up to AED 20,000/month (tax-free) + monthly performance bonus of up to 10% of base

Growth path from here is Senior AI Image Specialist → AI Creative Lead. What takes 4-5 years elsewhere happens in 1-2 here.

We've been AI-first since December 2023: GPT Image and Nano Banana Pro are part of the working creative stack, and AI-generated imagery is used in live production work rather than kept to internal tests. You'd be building on a foundation, not evangelising one.

Role Overview

Puffy, a market-leading, nine-figure D2C brand and Top 5 US mattress brand with over $1 billion in sales, is hiring an AI Image Specialist to own AI image generation for Puffy.com, covering photorealistic hero, lifestyle and advertising imagery across ecommerce and marketing, owning the prompting approaches, reference workflows and production standards behind it, reporting directly to the UX/UI Design Lead.

This role exists to make AI generation dependable enough to serve as the production route, building the prompting approaches, reference libraries and quality standards that allow brand-standard imagery to be produced at volume and to a predictable result.

The Problems You'll Own:

• Primary: Consistency at brand standard: Producing one strong AI image is straightforward. Producing them consistently is not. You'll be responsible for hero, lifestyle and advertising imagery that meets brand standard every time, with an actual Puffy mattress rendered accurately inside a fully generated environment. Every image is judged on whether it delivers the objective in the brief, not on how it looks in isolation. The work is making AI generation dependable enough to be the production route.
• Secondary: Raise what the whole team can produce: The second outcome of this role is what the wider Design team can do. You'll develop the best practices, prompting techniques, reusable reference workflows and quality standards that let existing designers produce work to a comparable standard, raising the creative output of the whole team alongside your own.

The Career Accelerator

This is not a role where you execute prompts written by someone else and pass the output on for finishing. The scope is scarce: very few AI image specialists hold simultaneous ownership of the prompting approaches, the reference workflows, the production standards, and the adoption of all three across an entire design team, with a direct line to the UX/UI Design Lead and no layers in between.

Your first 12 months: build and refine the AI-assisted workflows behind Puffy product, hero and lifestyle imagery, with photorealism and product accuracy as the bar. Develop reusable prompting approaches and reference-image workflows for recurring creative needs. Establish the production standards that keep output consistent at brand standard. Create and test AI-generated and AI-enhanced advertising creative in partnership with the Growth team. Take AI outputs through compositing and retouching to production-ready final creative. Evaluate new image-generation tools and models and introduce those that materially improve quality or efficiency. Share the best practices that accelerate AI adoption across the wider Design team. You set the prompting approaches, build the reference workflows, and decide when an image is ready to ship.

• You determine how Puffy product, hero and lifestyle imagery is produced: the prompting techniques, the reference-image workflows, the compositional control, and the retouching route that takes a generation through to production-ready final creative. You assess which tools and models earn a place in the stack.
• You hold the standard an image is measured against, on both the objective stated in the brief and on brand consistency. You report directly to the UX/UI Design Lead, who sets creative direction and holds that bar with you.

4. Become the Specialist Whose AI Work Reaches Production

In most companies, AI imagery remains a proof of concept: presented internally, rarely trusted on a live storefront. Here, your output publishes to a $1Billion+ ecommerce site and into paid creative carrying real media budget. When a page requires a hero image, or a campaign requires creative that responds to what the performance data shows, your work is what ships. You'll build the systematic control to reproduce a winning output on demand rather than regenerating until something lands, and the commercial judgment to make an image serve the objective it was briefed against. Puffy has been AI-First since December 2023, so you'll build that judgment with an AI-native toolbox behind you rather than a stock library and a retouching backlog in front of you.

What You'll Need

• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating high-quality commercial AI-generated imagery, particularly photorealistic product and lifestyle imagery.

AI generation and editing

• Advanced hands-on proficiency with ChatGPT Images / GPT Image models for image generation, editing, iteration and creative development.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency with Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) for professional image generation and editing.
• Strong proficiency across the wider generative-image landscape: Midjourney, FLUX/Stable Diffusion/ComfyUI, Adobe Firefly or equivalent platforms.
• Advanced prompt engineering and visual prompting, including reference images and multimodal inputs, together with strong image-to-image, inpainting, outpainting, compositional-control and iterative-editing workflows.

Craft and production

• Places an existing physical product into generated environments without losing product fidelity.
• Works systematically enough to reproduce a winning output on demand, rather than regenerating until something lands.
• Advanced Photoshop, compositing and retouching capability to take AI outputs through to production-ready final creative.
• Fundamentals: composition, lighting, perspective, color, visual hierarchy, art direction.
• Commercial output
• Delivers hero, lifestyle, ecommerce and paid creative to a brief with a stated marketing objective, not just attractive images.
• Reads a creative brief commercially and makes the calls that serve the objective.

Good-to-Have

• DTC / ecommerce experience — especially creating product and performance-marketing imagery for consumer brands.
• Photography, CGI or 3D experience — strong understanding of lighting, composition, materials and photorealistic product visualization.
• Experience building and sharing AI creative workflows — including reusable prompts, reference libraries, templates or training that helps other designers adopt AI more effectively.
