AI Product Engineer

AI Product Engineer — Doha, Qatar On-site. Visa sponsorship and relocation support provided for candidates outside Qatar.

CFO Advisory and Accountancy (CFOAI) runs Virtual CFO services for SMEs across Qatar and the GCC. We don't sell advice by the hour — we build the technology that makes finance functions actually run.

We're looking for someone to build AI products with us. Not features inside someone else's roadmap. Products.

How we work

We see a client problem or a market gap and we build. Design happens fast in Claude Design. Our operating team — the people who do this work for real clients every day — test the UI and UX before a line of code is written. Then one or two engineers own it through to live.

That means no tech lead handing you tickets, no BA writing your requirements, no QA team catching what you missed. You own the product, and you're expected to think like the person using it. Some of the work extends what we already run: the CFOAI Platform, and the tooling layer connecting our Microsoft-based cloud ERP solutions to large language models. Some of it starts from nothing on Azure AI Foundry because a client needed something that didn't exist yet.

What you'll do

• Design and ship AI agents and applications on Azure AI Foundry, prototype to production
• Sit in client requirement conversations and translate what you hear into a working product
• Build across the stack: agents, APIs, web applications, integrations
• Prove your AI output is right before it goes live — evaluation is part of shipping here, not an afterthought
• Give technical guidance to our AI interns

What we're looking for

Anywhere from strong graduate to five years. What matters more than the number is this: you've built something and taken it live yourself, and you think about the person using it. If you've only worked in large teams where someone else defined the requirements and someone else tested the result, this won't suit you.

• Python and C#/.NET — able to build and deploy a full application, not just the model layer
• Real LLM application work: agents, RAG, tool calling. Personal projects count if they shipped
• Azure hands-on: AI Foundry, App Service or Container Apps, Key Vault
• You test AI output the way you test code. In finance, a confident wrong number is a client problem
• Comfortable owning something end to end with no one to hand it to
• English required, Arabic an advantage

Nice to have: ERP or accounting data exposure, MCP architectures, Power BI, multi-tenant SaaS.

Location and relocation

Based in Doha, on-site. Candidates already in Qatar with transferable residency are welcome. For candidates outside Qatar, CFOAI sponsors the employment visa and supports relocation — your degree certificate will need attestation for the visa file, so start that early if you're shortlisted.

Why this role

Small team, direct access to the Managing Director, and a real say in what gets built. You'll ship more in a year here than in three somewhere large.
