About the Opportunity Consider an opportunity to join the professional team of the Child Development Centre in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon. Our growing team provides quality early intervention services to children from birth – 5 years of age throughout the Yukon. We work as a transdisciplinary team and provide assessment, consultation and intervention for children with a wide variety of needs. We have the opportunity to work with Indigenous children and families and build strong cultural connections. Travel to rural communities may be required. Relocation allowance is available. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are important. Provisional Psychologists are encouraged to inquire, particularly those seeking a supportive setting to complete supervision hours. As regulations and requirements are still being developed in the Yukon, any future supervision arrangement would be discussed once formal guidance becomes available. Training in play therapy and EMDR as well as experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, families, and/or early childhood teams would be considered an asset.
