Applied AI Engineer

Sinclair Talent Solutions is working with a fast-growing applied AI company backed by General Catalyst. They embed directly with enterprise customers in healthcare, manufacturing, and energy to drive AI transformation from the ground up. Strategic partnerships include Anthropic, McKinsey, and AWS.

About the company

They build and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems for industry-leading enterprises. Think forward-deployed engineering meets cutting-edge AI research. They are 55 people today and targeting 100-150 by end of year, with most growth in engineering.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with customer executives and technical teams to define long-term AI strategy and transformation roadmaps
• Identify and prioritize high-leverage AI use cases that connect business goals to measurable outcomes
• Rapidly build and deploy production AI solutions with real users and real data
• Encode lessons from customer engagements back into the core product, contributing new features, patterns, and abstractions

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AI-focused software engineering
• Full-stack proficiency with the ability to build products end to end beyond just the model layer
• Hands-on experience with LLM tooling including LangGraph, Mastra, or Agents SDK
• Strong Python and TypeScript foundations with cloud and DevOps experience
• Track record of shipping production LLM-powered systems including RAG pipelines, multi-step agents, and human-in-the-loop workflows
• Experience at a well-known high-growth startup, bonus if you were a founding engineer
• Comfortable working directly with customers and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or strong STEM field
