Architectural Designer (On-Site)

Description The Architectural Designer is responsible for design and production of construction documents, on limited scope projects, under the supervision of a Sr. Project Coordinator, Project Architect or Project Manager. Capable of basic design, setting up and coordination of the documents, based on standard architectural practices and applicable codes. Requirements: An Architectural Designer shall have a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and experience from 1 to 7 years in an architectural firm/field. This position requires general knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketch Up. A basic understanding of architecture, building construction, and building codes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required. Responsibilities: Assist in the production of construction documents and specifications. General knowledge of methods, materials and detailing. Ability to complete designated scope of work within allotted time budget. Assist with permitting process, including response to comments. Assist with administrative tasks for bidding procedures and construction administration. Participates in site visits. Skills: Research and apply applicable basic code issues. Coordinate with engineering disciplines. Basic presentation skills. Additional duties as assigned.
