Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer to join a growing cybersecurity organization focused on securing enterprise artificial intelligence technologies. This individual will play a key role in protecting AI systems, evaluating model security, and helping implement governance and security controls across AI initiatives.

This is an opportunity to work on emerging AI security challenges while collaborating with cross-functional technology and security teams to strengthen the organization's AI risk management program.

Location: Hybrid – Miami, FL

Relocation: Available for qualified candidates relocating to South Florida

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance security controls for enterprise AI platforms and applications.
• Assess AI models for security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and operational risks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and governance teams to establish secure AI development practices.
• Support the implementation and optimization of enterprise AI security technologies used for model monitoring, inventory management, and risk assessment.
• Perform security assessments and adversarial testing of AI systems to identify weaknesses and improve resilience.
• Help establish governance processes that provide visibility into AI assets, model usage, and security posture.
• Work with identity and security teams to improve access controls and permissions for AI applications and autonomous agents.
• Assist with initiatives related to AI governance, data protection, and enterprise security architecture.
• Stay current on emerging AI security threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of software engineering, cybersecurity, AI engineering, or related experience.
• Strong Python development skills with the ability to build automation and security-focused solutions.
• Experience working with machine learning or generative AI technologies, including understanding of model architecture, training concepts, and deployment.
• Knowledge of AI security principles, secure software development practices, and application security.
• Experience evaluating security risks across AI or cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and identity security concepts.
• Understanding of common security frameworks and modern application security practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience securing machine learning or generative AI platforms in enterprise environments.
• Background in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance, or Privileged Access Management.
• Experience with AI governance, model lifecycle management, or AI risk management programs.
• Exposure to adversarial testing, AI red teaming, or model validation methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization, APIs, and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, or cloud security certifications are a plus.
