Project Overview: "Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company has been appointed to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of a state of the art international airport in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Salman International Airport will have a capacity of up to 120 million travellers by 2030 and 185 million travellers by 2050, and the capacity to process up to 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050. Bechtel will provide PMC services for three new terminals; Terminal 6 is a new build ‘low cost carrier’ – hyper efficient terminal with gross floor area of ≈450,000m2, capacity of 20mppa; Iconic Terminal is a new build ‘new concept’ terminal with gross floor area of ≈ 1M m2, capacity of 40 to 45 mppa, and Private Aviation Terminal and hangars for VIPs and business jet passengers." Job Summary: In this role, you will report to the PMIS Manager and lead the BIM and CAD team while supporting GIS and broader digital delivery activities across the programme. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing BIM, CAD and digital engineering activities throughout design, construction and handover, ensuring compliance with project requirements, information management standards and Customer digital delivery objectives. The role requires close collaboration with project management, engineering, construction, project controls, document management, quality, contractors, designers and Customer teams to drive coordinated digital delivery, model governance, information quality, construction support and continuous process improvement across multiple contracts. You will also champion innovation and digital transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve project delivery through automation, digital workflows, data integration and emerging technologies. Major Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of BIM and digital delivery requirements across design, construction and handover in accordance with project, Customer and industry standards. Manage and coordinate BIM and CAD activities across multiple contracts, supporting design coordination, construction planning and information delivery. Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of the project Information Management Strategy, Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), Asset Information Requirements (AIR), BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and associated digital delivery procedures. Review and assess contractors', consultants' and designers' BIM Execution Plans, Information Delivery Plans and digital deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual and project requirements. Develop standard BIM and information management requirements for inclusion within tender and contract documentation, ensuring consistent flow-down of digital delivery obligations. Support the configuration, governance and continual improvement of the Common Data Environment (CDE), associated information workflows and digital collaboration processes. Coordinate multidisciplinary model reviews, clash detection, model federation and digital design reviews to support design development, construction coordination and issue resolution. Monitor BIM implementation and digital delivery performance, developing dashboards, KPIs and reporting to measure compliance, model quality and project progress. Coordinate digital delivery activities with project management, engineering, construction, project controls, quality, document management and Customer teams to ensure integrated project delivery. Support GIS integration and information exchange activities where required to ensure alignment between BIM, GIS and asset information deliverables. Develop and deliver BIM, CDE and digital delivery training, guidance and awareness sessions for project teams, contractors and consultants. Conduct regular compliance assessments, audits and model quality reviews to verify implementation of project BIM requirements, identify improvement opportunities and capture lessons learned. Support the development and maintenance of project information structures, including work breakdown structures, document numbering, naming conventions, asset classification, metadata and coding standards. Ensure project information and digital deliverables comply with contractual requirements and recognised industry standards, including ISO 19650 and other applicable standards. Support digital innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve project delivery through automation, digital workflows, data integration, AI-enabled processes and emerging technologies. Visit design offices and construction sites to facilitate BIM implementation, resolve coordination issues and support effective digital delivery throughout the project lifecycle. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead BIM and digital delivery across large, complex engineering and construction projects, applying industry best practices to solve technical and project delivery challenges. Excellent communication, technical writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Revizto, Synchro, ESRI ArcGIS, Rhino and other BIM, coordination and digital engineering platforms. Strong understanding of ISO 19650 Information Management principles and their practical application throughout the project lifecycle. Knowledge of engineering, design, construction, quality, project controls, document management and information management processes within major infrastructure programmes. Experience developing, reviewing and implementing Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Information Delivery Plans (IDP), BIM standards, modelling requirements and digital delivery procedures. Experience supporting procurement and tender activities, including preparation of BIM requirements, technical evaluations and assessment of consultants' and contractors' digital delivery capabilities. Experience managing multidisciplinary BIM coordination, model federation, clash detection, model reviews and digital design governance across multiple stakeholders. Experience integrating BIM with construction sequencing, scheduling (4D), quantity take-off (5D) and other digital construction workflows. Understanding of asset information requirements, digital handover and information deliverables supporting facilities management and operations. Experience developing digital dashboards, KPIs and reporting to monitor BIM implementation, model quality and project performance. Ability to develop and deliver BIM, CDE and digital delivery training programmes, while mentoring BIM Coordinators and supporting consultants' and contractors' BIM Leads. Experience identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, automation and digital innovation to enhance project delivery. Ability to work collaboratively within global functional BIM and Digital Delivery networks, sharing knowledge, lessons learned and best practices across projects.
