Is this job info correct?

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) offers the position of a full-time Brand Manager (f/m/x) in an international and multicultural team at the IPC Headquarters (on-site) in Bonn, Germany, starting as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE IPC

At the IPC, we work as one team, aligned and focused on fulfilling our vision and mission.

The IPC’s vision is for an inclusive world through Para sport. We believe that Change Starts With Sport, and that the work of the Paralympic Movement is a catalyst for driving social inclusion and advancing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The IPC, a purpose-driven non-profit association, is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. We oversee the delivery of the Paralympic Games and Paralympic Winter Games and serve as International Federation for five Para sports. We enjoy a positive working relationship with the IPC Governing Board, members of which are democratically elected every four years by the IPC General Assembly. Since 1989, we have been creating change through sport with the Paralympic Games and Paralympic athletes at our core.

The IPC seeks to use the influential global position of the Paralympic Movement and the growing profile of Para athletes to challenge the stigma attached to disability and empower social transformation.

ROLE

The IPC Brand Team is part of the Brand & Communications department. We take care of the brand and identity of the IPC and how it is viewed and perceived in its pursuit to impact positively in the world. We strive in the mission of finding new ways to promote the values of the Paralympic Movement.

The Brand Manager (f/m/x) is placed at Level A6 according to our internal compensation structure. The role is accountable to the Brand Senior Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and managing the IPC and Paralympic Games’ brand projects and developing and implementing them internally and externally.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all IPC brand and design functions and assets.
  • Coordinate and manage the signoff of the brand assets (both internal and external) to ensure compliance with the IPC Brand Guidelines.
  • Maintain proactive interdepartmental communication within the organisation and with our Members (National Paralympic Committees, International Federations, International Organisations of Sport for the Disabled and Regional Organisations).
  • Collaborate with the Paralympic Games Organising Committees to oversee the successful delivery of the Paralympic Torch Relay, from initial concept to final delivery, including responsibility for IPC Torchbearers and all internal logistics.
  • Support the Brand Senior Manager in all Paralympic Games Brand, Image and Look (BIL), Signage (SIG), Culture (CUL), and Spectator Experience (OFX) matters.
  • Administrate the Brand inbox.
  • Keep strong awareness of the IPC brand benchmarks across all media.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in brand and/or marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Brand, Marketing, Design and/or a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing brands; experience with sport brands is a plus.
  • Experience in the use of Adobe applications (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign) and Canva; proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Has a passion for sports and the Paralympic Movement.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a strong strategic mindset.
  • Proactivity and passion for developing the IPC brand.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective cross-department collaboration within the IPC and fostering clear communication with IPC members on brand-related matters.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, multicultural, multi-tasking environment, with the capacity to operate independently and with limited supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strategic thinking, creativity, curiosity, strong organisational skills, and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard working hours depending on the time zone requirements for the delivery of projects, and willingness to undertake occasional travel during Games time.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working in sport events will be an advantage.
  • Experience with digital content tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the IPC Brand is a plus.
