  • Produce comprehensive technical reports, specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates.
  • Manage disrepair cases from initial inspection through to successful completion, ensuring residents remain informed throughout.
  • Oversee contractors on site, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Carry out post-inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure completed works meet NHG’s standards.
  • Manage complex repair projects, balancing quality, cost and timescales whilst delivering excellent customer outcomes.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, CDM Regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Investigate technical issues and recommend long-term solutions that reduce recurring defects and future disrepair.
  • Work collaboratively with Housing, Repairs, Asset Management and Legal colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring value for money, excellent workmanship and continuous service improvement.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practice across the wider Surveying team to improve organisational capability.
