Senior Business Analyst – Financial Domain
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 8+ years of overall experience and a strong background in the Financial Services domain.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with business stakeholders, gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting business processes, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions within banking, financial services, payments, lending, capital markets, or related financial environments.
Candidates should have strong communication and analytical skills and be open to working from client locations based on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand business needs and define solution requirements.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
- Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, and use cases.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear functional requirements for development and technology teams.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement review sessions.
- Support Agile teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Perform gap analysis and support impact assessments for business and system changes.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to clarify requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support data analysis, reporting, and validation activities when required.
- Ensure requirements are aligned with business objectives, regulatory needs, and project goals.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Strong experience within the Financial Services domain
- Experience with one or more areas such as Banking, Payments, Lending, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Financial Operations, or Risk & Compliance
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business analysis, and stakeholder management
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows
- Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Experience working with JIRA and Confluence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with SQL and data analysis for validating business requirements is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Lending or loan origination systems
- Capital Markets or Wealth Management applications
- Regulatory or compliance initiatives
- Risk management or financial reporting
- Data mapping and data analysis

- UAT planning and execution
- Visio, Lucidchart, or other process-mapping tools
Experience
8+ years of overall Business Analyst experience, with significant experience supporting Financial Services or Banking projects.
Location
Multiple Client Locations Across the USA
Candidates should be open to relocation based on client and project requirements.
