Job Title: Business Analyst – Insurance Carrier

About the Role

We are a start-up insurance carrier company, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst/Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into actionable insights, streamline processes, and help drive data-informed decision-making across teams. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including operations, product, finance, and technology teams, to improve performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for new projects or process improvements.

• Work with stakeholders to identify business needs, define objectives, and propose data-driven solutions.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for developers or technical teams.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Conduct market, financial, and operational analyses to support strategic initiatives.

• Map and optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Assist with system implementations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise manner.

• Monitor KPIs and create periodic reports to track progress against business goals.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Mandarin speaking is required

• 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, operations, consulting, or related roles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Experience working in insurance is preferred
