This role sits within the Business Support TOM and provides the risk and controls practitioner capability for the directorate. As well as coordinating risk and controls, you will work closely with the Business Support Governance Managers to create one operating rhythm for leadership governance, including forward agendas, pack discipline, action and decision logs and commitment tracking. It creates one clear, forward-looking view of risk activity, ownership and escalation across all nine Business Solutions CIO areas, helping leaders focus on the issues that matter most and keeping the team safe. THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE As the Business Support Risk and Controls Enablement Manager, you will be at the heart of making "better" happen across Business Solutions CIO. You will be the trusted coordinator for the risk and control agenda, bringing structure, clarity and pace to a complex environment and helping the leadership team see one version of the truth across risks, controls, actions, governance commitments and strategic dependencies. Skills and Experience: Build and maintain a consolidated view of key risks, open actions, control improvements and governance commitments across all nine Business Solutions CIO areas. Coordinate RiskPro, monthly risk management meeting inputs, RCSA updates, Internal Audit actions, waivers/breaches, attestations, BCP and ERCC/BRC reporting so the directorate has a consistent rhythm and clear forward view. Work closely with the Business Support Governance Managers to create one operating rhythm for leadership governance, including forward agendas, pack discipline, action and decision logs and commitment tracking. Support strategic implementation across Business Solutions CIO by coordinating documentation, tracking dependencies and surfacing open concerns to accountable owners. Prepare, consolidate and quality-check risk and controls packs, evidence and submissions with accountable SMEs, control owners and the T&O Line 1 team, ensuring completeness, consistency and action-orientation. Use structure, influence and sound judgement to reduce duplication, improve visibility and help the leadership team make timely decisions. Maintain a live SME map and route specialist input to the right owners quickly, helping leaders and stakeholders understand who to go to and what is needed next. Coordinate control improvement activity with accountable owners and risk partners, supporting movement toward clearer, stronger and more preventative controls where appropriate. Use MI, trend analysis and disciplined trackers to identify recurring themes, overdue actions, dependencies and escalation points, helping leaders act early and avoid surprises. Strong experience in financial services, with an understanding of Santander, its products, governance and the way Technology & Operations operates. Santander knowledge is important and Business Solutions CIO / T&O experience. (Required) Strong understanding of risk and control management, including RCSA, internal controls, action management, Internal Audit action tracking, waivers/breaches, attestations, BCP/resilience and governance. (Required) Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior leaders, SMEs, control owners, T&O Line 1 and relevant risk partners, influencing without direct authority and escalating appropriately when needed. (Required) Proven ability to manage multiple demands, prioritise effectively and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn fragmented information into clear, concise and executive-ready packs, trackers and briefing notes. High attention to detail, sound judgement and a calm, organised approach when working with ambiguity, deadlines and competing priorities. Education Education at graduate level or equivalent experience in business management, finance, governance, risk, project management or a related discipline is preferred. Qualifications in risk, audit, operational resilience, project management or business management would be an advantage, but are not essential. Languages English (required) ROLE DETAILS This is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes The role reports directly to the S4 Senior Business Support Manager and supports all nine Business Solutions CIO areas through named interlocks. Salary Range: £59,200.00 - £88,800.00 per annum (depending on experience) This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
