The CAD Designer position is within the Structure and Mechanical Systems team. The activities mainly involve 3D design, the creation of technical drawings, and the management of design changes.


Tasks & missions


The activities will be:


  • 3D design
  • Produce technical drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and functional dimensioning/tolerancing.
  • Monitor and follow up on projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Identify and assess technical solutions or products based on functional requirements, dimensional constraints, cost and lead-time targets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications.
  • Prepare and issue manufacturing and subcontracting documentation packages.
  • Provide technical support during testing activities.
  • Manage system modifications and design changes.
  • Apply the rules and procedures defined within their process, particularly regarding quality requirements.
  • Report and identify any non-conformity or issue observed during the execution of their activities or within the company’s internal operations.
  • Keep their manager informed of the progress and results of their activities.
  • Alert their direct manager or Management in the event of any deviation, particularly regarding schedule, cost or performance.
  • Contribute to the certification of ground equipment, such as test benches and launch facilities, from a quality and documentation standpoint.

Confidentiality requirements


  • Confidentiality regarding the company, launcher architecture, and testing and launch processes.


Education and experience :


  • BTS CRSA - Design and Implementation of Automated Systems, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the aerospace and aeronautical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in aerospace and aeronautical manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of technical / industrial drawing.
  • Knowledge of special manufacturing processes.


Skills :


  • Ability to work independently
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented
  • Good listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX
  • Proficiency in functional dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Ideally, knowledge of electrical installation and wiring
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards
