Company Description Cardiac Rhythm Connect is a specialized cardiac services provider staffed by highly trained cardiac device specialists with certifications such as IBHRE, BHRS, CEPIA or equivalent. The team brings many years of clinical experience in managing cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) in diverse care settings. Core services include remote monitoring of cardiac devices, MRI reprogramming, and clinical support for device implants and follow-up clinics. The organization also oversees CIED protocols for patients undergoing radiotherapy, ensuring safe and coordinated care. Cardiac Rhythm Connect offers a collaborative environment focused on high-quality, patient-centred cardiac device management.

Role Description The Cardiac Device Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Perth Area. The specialist will perform day-to-day remote and in-person monitoring of cardiac implantable electronic devices, including data review, triage, and clinical reporting. Responsibilities include assisting with device implants and follow-up clinics, programming and reprogramming devices (including MRI workflows), and ensuring adherence to CIED protocols for patients undergoing radiotherapy or other procedures. The role involves close collaboration with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and broader care teams to optimize device function and patient outcomes. The specialist will also contribute to documentation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of device-related processes and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Certification such as IBHRE, BHRS, CEPIA, or equivalent in cardiac device management is essential.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices) and their indications, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with remote monitoring platforms, device interrogation, and interpretation of device diagnostics and arrhythmia episodes.
  • Competence in supporting device implant procedures, follow-up clinics, MRI and radiotherapy workflows, and associated safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with patients in a clear, empathetic manner.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to follow clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Greater Perth Area, manage time efficiently, and respond promptly to clinical priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare field (e.g., cardiac physiology, nursing, biomedical science) or equivalent clinical training and experience.
  • Comfort with digital health technologies, electronic medical records, and secure data handling; commitment to ongoing professional development.
