T he Opportunity We have a great opportunity for a Chemistry Technician who is excited by the variety of responsibility this role offers. As a Chemistry Technician, you will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument trouble shooting and calibration. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the field and gain hands-on experience with analytical equipment. This full time position will be based in Moranbah on a mine site laboratory and is open to sponsorship for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Operating and maintaining instruments, Conducting laboratory testing Interpreting data Providing accurate analytical reports to clients About You A formal qualification in Chemistry, such as a Bachelor of Science highly regarded Maintain a safe working environment Ensure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures Provision of quality data and turnaround within clients' specified requirements Applying the quality and continuous improvement system processes Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures Processing and interpreting data Troubleshoot laboratory equipment Familiarity with mineral processing principles and techniques. Computer literacy skills, preferably with a laboratory LIMS. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Strong Communication and Leadership Skills.
