Position: Chief Executive Officer (Behavioral Health Hospital)

Location: New Baltimore, Michigan & Wesley Chapel, Florida & Westminster, Colorado & Saint Charles, Missouri (Onsite – 4 positions)

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Chief Executive Officer shall serve as the executive officer with day-to-day responsibility for the management and operation of the hospital. The CEO has primary responsibility for the development, implementation, and achievement of the hospital’s strategic business plan in conjunction with routine operations to include: quality of care, staff development, maintenance of licensure and accreditations, financial performance, and continuous performance improvement

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• BA required, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Clinical or related discipline; MBA/MHA preferred.
• Requisite experience and/or licensure may be accepted in lieu of degree. Requires next level review and approval.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in senior leadership or CEO role in a behavioral health, acute care, and/or managed care environment or successful completion of CEO training program.
• Must have served as a CEO, COO, or Hospital Administrator with full operational responsibility in an inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric hospital.
• Must have participated and been the point person in a Joint Commission survey in a behavioral health hospital setting.
• Must had full P and L responsibility for a hospital with an annual operating budget of at least $20 million.
• Must have led QAPI, patient-safety initiatives, or corrective action plans resulting from regulatory findings in a behavioral health hospital.
• Must have directly hired, developed, and retained clinical and medical staff, such as psychiatrists, nursing leaders, therapists, in a hospital environment.
• Ability to lead successful licensure, accreditation, and compliance efforts in a behavioral health facility.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of facility administration and clinical operations.
• Strong working knowledge of financial management and business development processes.
• Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
• Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
• English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.
