UNICEF Armenia Country Office is looking for a motivated Child Protection professional with experience in developing and managing programmes that strengthen child protection systems and promote children’s rights, safety and well-being, with a strong understanding of the national context. Under the general guidance of the Deputy Representative and in close coordination with relevant sectoral and cross-sectoral colleagues and partners, the Child Protection Specialist will lead and contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based and sustainable child protection programmes in Armenia. The role will provide technical guidance and strategic support to strengthen national child protection systems and services, address violence, abuse, exploitation and other risks faced by children, and advance inclusive, community-based and family-focused solutions in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and UNICEF’s priorities. Coordinate programme/project development and planning in child protection – lead and contribute to situation analysis, strategic planning and programme design, ensuring that UNICEF’s Child Protection priorities are informed by evidence, national priorities and emerging trends. Manage programmes, monitor progress and deliver results – oversee the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child protection programmes, ensuring results are achieved, resources are used effectively and lessons learned inform future programming. Provide technical and operational coordination – provide technical guidance and operational support to government counterparts, civil society, UN agencies and other partners, helping translate UNICEF policies, standards and evidence into effective child protection interventions. Build networks and partnerships – develop and maintain strong partnerships with government, national and international organizations, donors, academia and other stakeholders to advance child protection priorities, strengthen coordination and mobilize support for sustainable results. Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building – identify and promote innovative approaches and good practices, facilitate knowledge sharing and strengthen the capacity of government and partners to improve child protection systems, policies and services. Support programme development and strategic advocacy – contribute to policy dialogue, advocacy, resource mobilization and strategic programme materials, ensuring that child protection remains an integral part of national development, humanitarian preparedness and response efforts. Work Experience : At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Human Rights, Child Protection, Early Childhood Development, Social development and any other related fields. Skills : Monitoring and Evaluation, Program management and development, Knowledge management, Capacity building. Language Requirements : Both English and Armenian - Proficient/Fluent Desirables Language: Knowledge of another official UN language, especially Russian or (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish) Experience in developing countries, experience in humanitarian contexts, UN experiences, emergency preparedness experience Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
