The City of Austin, Minnesota (population approximately 26,000), is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and visionary leader to serve as its next City Administrator and Executive Director of the Austin Port Authority.

As the City’s chief administrative officer, the City Administrator provides executive leadership for municipal operations, strategic initiatives, financial management, organizational development, and implementation of City Council priorities while also serving as Executive Director of the Austin Port Authority.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, political science, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible local government management experience. A master’s degree and experience in economic development are preferred.
Compensation
Salary up to $212,326, with the starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience. Salary and benefits are negotiable. The city offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including car allowance and relocation assistance.
